As my bridesamids have been unsure of what the role and responsibilities of bridesmaids entail (not having been brides themselves or having sisters or close friends married before), I have attached a link which summarises how bridemaids would traditionally help.

So far, my bridal brigade have volunteered to research guest accommodation options, bridesmaid dresses & hen night ideas; source fairy lights, cook the vegetarian food, and assist me to organise the invitation decoration. Some have also provided a great deal of emotional support!
This has all been a great help!!!
