  1. Paula:
    - Are there any pretty stamps we can buy to put on the invites, that aren't too expensive?
    - Does St Leonards church have a piano?
    - Can we ask for a cake knife as a wedding present?

    Matt:
    - Can you add the e-mail address of the dean to this blog for my reference plus action your tasks above?

  3. For sets of stamps see: http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/shop?catId=9300091&pageId=shp_category&category=cat35760118 I like the flowers and album covers. appears to be 10 stamps first class for £3.90. Postage is £1.45.
I will investigate teh piano. You never confirmed if you are happy to share the alter arrnagement cost with teh other bride.
I can get you a silver plated cake knife engraved for about £10.50 (inclusive of vat)- you can add to your list or purchase before. Unfortunately there is a postage charge which i am happy to waive if the order can be combined with one of my other brides.
Rupert offered the tables he has on site for the same rate as we coudl get elsewhere. However he thinks we have been quoted £5 per table. If we are able to get them for less, i am uncertain if he will reduce his price. He can not offer the type of chairs you require. if you like i can speak to banqueting direct and try and get a discount as a planner.
My dad will be happy to make you a wooden base but we will need the cake size.

  5. I like the flowers too. What do you think of the bird stamps, as we will have falconry?

Happy to share an arrangement with the 3pm bride.

Not sure about the cake knife - when would we have to make a decision (not sure where we would have budgeted for this?)

Re: van hire - I thought we would do this to the trestle tables near you to the barn. But it doens't seem cost effective. Rupert has both round and tresle tables.

I feel i'm getting too involved in the logisitics and would like you to take some initiative on decoration and furnishing and help to save us money! If you are not sure ask - or if you think it would help, ask Matt to ask (they seem to get on very well - Rupert was happy to offer Matt the cottage for fewer days at 70% discount).

As for your father's wood for food bases, table decor etc... you know the decoration budget - what can you do for us within that budget? We need to get creative when the budget is tight!!!
