Flowers - Liz
1 bridal bouquet (& some hair flowers?)
6 bridesmaids posies
3 corsages or buttoniers (mothers)
1 Grooms Button hole
1 page boy button hole
8 Button holes (6 groomsmen, 2 fathers)
12 table arrangements
1 Buffet table vase
1 floral cake design
8 pew ends
1 decoration for church gate
What did you want for the pew ends? Can you email me a photo of them for fixing purposes?
I have no ideas for pew ends, as i've never seen any before. I haven't a photo, but having looked at them it would be like trying to hang them from the top of a cupboard door.
The pics you sent for the jam jars contain swett peas and peonies. Youe relative could try and grow the sweet peas for you. Peonies will be out of season by August
Is the gate at the church one with the arch over it?
Yes, it's an arch with a lantern in the centre.
Do you want the cake surounded with flowers as per photo. I will need the diametor of the bottom base layer
Yes. I don't know how big the cake will be yet. Matt's mum will make the cake, so we will ask her what size she thinks best.
Do you want one table center surrounded by the jam jars of flowers. I beleive you said the tables where round.
I'm not sure what's best. I chose to work with Paula Slater because I really haven't got a clue about what it takes to decorate a reception venue or church. I really don't understand how I can tell you what I need to decoarte the venue (for the quotation) when I've never decorated a venue before! Without you seeing the space, how would you know how to decorate and what is required? I'm really confused.
What flower do you want as the button holes- a rose? With the blue /purple veronica in the grooms one (as per photo)
Most of the images of button holes i've seen with roses look VERY tacky, so I feel put off by them. They seem too bulky as button holes, but perhaps that wouldn't be the case with the smaller ones from the rose planter, i'm not sure. The colour scheme of peach/pink doesn't seem to match with the blue/purple suggested. I'm not looking to exactly replicate what's in the photos - it's provided to give you an idea of what I find aesthetically pleasing. It is the right size, not too bulky, looks delicate, the flowers are very country, the colours are well-matched - we wouldn't have to use the same flowers or colours.
I seem to remember you dont like gerbera which is a shame as they do depict country garden/daisies ect and they are a reasonable price
I respectfully disagree, in my eyes they are the opposite of country garden. They look very tropical, bold, bright, contemporary. They are really inappropriate for the wedding.
The jug of flowers can be stocks (which smell lovely) or the snap dragons or a mixture of both
I don't really know what stocks look like, would you please send me an image? I love the idea of lovely smells - we discussed using herbs to achieve this. I also don't know about 'the jug' - I have no idea what props will be required to decorate the space well! I don't like the idea of mixing the flowers. I love snap dragons - there are many other flowers I love, but have no idea of cost or season.
The bouquets must contain longish lasting flowers or you will have a wilting mess in your hands at the end of the photo shoots.
I don't know which flowers are long-lasting and which would wilt. My friends and I have no experience of holding bouquets as yet!
I think I know the style/effect you are hoping to achieve for the bouquets and I think you want mixed pastel shades for the brides maids
Let me know what colour the dresses are please asap
