Decoration ideas:

The barn is big and rustic and i wondered if you fancied any of the following as decor?

Silver birch type trees in each corner of the main barn with white fairy lights. The trees basically would be cut of branches which i will organise. The bases we can decide on when we know more about the budget. I'm not sure that birch trees will create the right look. I also would like to ensure that all 'white' lighting is warm white, not real white.

Different shades of peach organza swag curtains dividing the two rooms and tied back with rustic ties. Or mosquito netting. I really don't like the idea of covering up the divide in the barn - it is really beautiful so wouldn't want to cover it up. I don't want any curtains.

Balloons only in dancing area - large mixed shades and different heights (by weights with Helium) I'm still not sure how we could use balloons effectviely. They are good fun, but could so easily look rubbish and this worries me.

Straw bales in the dancing area and outside. With or without organza wrapping. That's great.

Willow hearts tied around the barn. That would be nice.

Homemade boards with hand painted with your chosen quotes. Clean edged - no frames. I'm not really sure what you mean. Please clarify.

A table with baskets of fruits, apples, plums etc all seasonable from the markets or local trees! Yum, yum.

Book corner - big bean bags or pillows and rugs and piles of old and classic books. No books at the wedding! Books are not fun, they remind me of work and study - I want to be as far away from books as possible on the wedding day.

Wedding wall - picture of all guests as babies or at their own weddings hung with small pegs on string. This is a lovely idea, but i'm not sure how I would collect these images - what do you think?

Hessian runners for each table, flowers by Liz, napkins to be decided - linen with string and herb decor or nice paper ones in different shades from your colour scheme, herbs just placed on top. Centre wooden plinth for each table Sounds lovely. I'm more and more attracted to spending money on fabric napkins, plates and cutlery - no idea if we could afford the cost though!

Themed lighting around the main barn with twigs to create shadows. Twigs will not be required, the barn has beams to create shadows.

Feature points with things we can find. OK

I am a little concerned about the height of the beams and wrapping around strings of lights if this is not done professionally. As it could be very dangerous up and down a ladder - with not much help.....how important is this? Not very.

Night lights and lanterns scattered around at suitable points. Yes!

Drinks table inside dancing end near doors as mentioned before with jars and ladles. I imagined that the drinks reception would be outside in good weather - with the drinks served on tables outside.

Outside i need to see again but i would think some kind of focal point such as a table of jars of sweets, with a type of canopy with branches and hearts and things hanging from the branches. or this could be the fruit table. Rather than sweets, it would be fruit pies, cookies, muffins (home-type goodies) and it might be better to have this inside. Fruit would be on the same table. The dancing area would be the indoor reception area should we have bad weather, then later on it would be set up for dancing.

Scattered bales and picnic benches if available. Yes!

Water balloon basket outside and cricket bat. That would be fun for the kids and the adults who don't mind getting wet. I think a rounders set would be ideal (1 bat and four posts?), plus water balloons for fun.

Jam jars outside in floor with night lights and hanging from any suitable post or tree. Mostly in lines for boundaries and walk ways. Lovely.

Hammocks if we can borrow any or find trees to hang from. If we can get one, I was thinking it would be great to have near the bonfire in the evening, a nice place for people to rest. I think the trees are too far apart to hang from though so not sure how possible it is to have it.

Tables with Hessian underclothes and white/cream top clothes. Ivy decor. Sounds lovely - looking at the photos of table clothes I like, it seems white top clothes look best to me.

Areas made with mosquito netting http://www.pwbelg.clara.net/mosquito/index.html Not sure what you mean by this.
